TÜBİTAK Research Institute for Fundamental Sciences (TBAE) is collecting expressions of interest from postdoctoral researchers in the context of the prestigious 2025 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) call, funded by the European Union. This expression of interest serves as a preliminary application phase aimed at identifying eligible candidates and supporting them in preparing their full MSCA-PF proposals to be submitted to the European Commission.

The MSCA-PF programme is a highly regarded funding scheme financed by the European Commission that supports early-career researchers in advancing their careers. Successful fellows are offered the opportunity to conduct independent research for a period of two years, while engaging in international scientific collaboration. In addition, the programme provides training and mentoring support through host institutions.

Within this framework, TÜBİTAK TBAE invites interested researchers to submit their expressions of interest no later than 23 June 2025. The application should include a detailed CV (with exact dates and locations), a research proposal of no more than two pages, and a signed “Declaration of Eligibility” form. These documents should be submitted via email to orkun.hasekioglu [at] tubitak.gov.tr and tbae.iletisim [at] tubitak.gov.tr. Submitted applications will be evaluated based on scientific merit and potential. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by 7 July 2025 at the latest.

Selected researchers will work closely with experienced supervisors at TÜBİTAK TBAE to prepare their MSCA-PF proposals. This proposal preparation phase will run from 7 July to 10 September 2025. The final proposal will then be submitted to the European Commission by the MSCA-PF deadline on 10 September 2025. Evaluation results are expected to be announced in February 2026, and the funded projects are anticipated to start as early as May 2026.

TÜBİTAK TBAE conducts research in a wide range of fundamental science fields and aims to support MSCA-PF proposals in the following priority areas: advanced physics topics such as quantum computing, quantum optics, photonics, and superconductivity; information technologies including artificial intelligence, large language models (LLMs), multi-agent systems, electronic security, and cryptography; health sciences grounded in biology and chemistry such as protein folding, molecular dynamics, radiopharmaceuticals, nuclear medicine, radiology, and medical imaging; as well as applied mathematics, statistical physics, cosmology, exoplanet research, and philosophy of science.

Applicants interested in the MSCA-PF call must meet the following key eligibility requirements: they must have obtained their PhD before 10 September 2025; have no more than eight years of full-time research experience since their PhD; and must not have resided or conducted their main activity in Türkiye for more than 12 months during the 36 months preceding the call deadline (10 September 2025).

TÜBİTAK TBAE is committed to providing selected candidates with scientific and administrative support during the proposal development process. Furthermore, candidates will benefit from a strong academic environment, international collaborations, and the advanced research infrastructure offered by TÜBİTAK.
